Basket Swamp Falls is approximately a 40-minute drive (30 kilometres) from Tenterfield in Boonoo State Forest. These falls are a stunning part of the Basket Swamp Creek system. This system drains a large area (approximately 200 hectares) of waterlogged heath and sedge species, filtering rainfall from the tablelands into the Clarence River catchment. Visitors can access the Falls via Basket Swamp Trail, a 10-minute drive from the Basket Swamp visitor area in Boonoo State Forest. Adjacent to Basket Swamp National Park, Basket Swamp visitor area in Boonoo State Forests offers free, rustic facilities for a picnic or short-stay camping.
