Pretty Much – Portraits and stories from real people by Andy Ferg

Roaming across Victoria on his Royal Enfield 650, Andy Ferg crosses paths with fascinating characters from every corner of life. These encounters are never planned. Andy describes himself as a relentless, joyful stickybeak who'll strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. From poets and bushmen to artists and a former forensic scientist, everyone he meets carries a story worth hearing, pretty much. Andy's fascination with people and the stories etched into their features comes to life in this exhibition of large mixed-media portraits, each capturing the authenticity of these remarkable everyday individuals, alongside their recorded personal stories. His mission is simple: to shine a light on people who have no idea just how special they are. The Central Goldfields Art Gallery is located in the historic former Fire Station building built in 1861 and features a diverse program of regularly changing exhibitions, including works from the permanent collection, curated exhibitions and touring exhibitions.
