The Jewel Within by Christiana Monored combines two aspects of her artistic practice. Analogue photographic collage works use symbols and images of nature relating to women. Mixed media in the vault combine painting with fabric, jewellery and assemblage techniques. All of these works represent the divine goddess's energy and recontexualise 20th century photographs of women. The richly layered artworks invite the viewer to celebrate and connect with the diversity of feminine beauty.
