Choral Edge presents: Y.U.M. (You. Us. Me)
In this innovative physical theatre work, discover how the melding choral music, dance, voices and bodies collide to explore building connection in a world that often pulls people apart. Through movement and song, performers trace the fragile beginnings of community, how they find each other, how they nurture belonging, and how they sometimes fail to hold one another close.
This devised performance looks at the growing crisis of loneliness, revealing how rigid gender expectations and societal values isolate men, women, trans, and nonbinary people navigating the edges of belonging. Intimate and confronting, playful and striking, the performance invites audiences to witness vulnerability as an act of courage and community-building as a radical, collective practice.
This is a space where voices rise together, walls soften, and connection becomes both a question and a possibility.
Movement director is Elize Layton and musical director is Marjorie Butcher.
